“As a primary elementary school teacher, I bought this book to share with my class to enforce concepts of self-esteem, self acceptance, and embracing what makes each child unique and special. One of the most charming aspects of this book is its gentle message about self confidence. Through a relatable character, Anderson shows young readers that everyone is unique in their own way. By the end of the story, readers are reminded that our differences are what make us beautifu and that they should be celebrated. I was then able to extend students' learning by having each child engage in a written response and share something about themselves that they felt was unique and made them even more special! This was a really cute book and a perfect tool to teach that lesson to young children. Highly recommend!”
